NEW PRIMATE WELCOMED AT ALEXANDER SCHOOL - His Grace Bishop Haigazoun Najarian receives a warm welcome -
On Thursday 21 February 2013, a momentous occasion was recorded in the history of AGBU Alexander Primary School, when the newly appointed Primate of the Armenian Church Diocese of Australia and New Zealand was warmly welcomed for the first time. His Grace Bishop Haigazoun Najarian was greeted by the Alexander school family with the traditional ‘Salt and Bread’. After being led into the hall, a special program was presented with songs, recitals and a brief outline of life at the school. The presentation encompassed different aspects of school life and was complemented with a showcase of slides on the big screen.
His Grace was pleasantly surprised by the unique presentation and impressed by the student performance. He made a warm connection with the children by engaging them in his address, praising and instructing them to be good students. Following a cocktail reception in the foyer, His Grace had the opportunity to visit the classrooms, talk to parents, visitors and members of the school Board and executive.
